Friendster and Annual Dinner

As usual I always update my friendster profile; just to check on any incoming messages or to follow up with any updates done by my friendster communities. Surprisingly, I received a message from someone that I don’t know and I don’t want to know.

Remember this before?

Today, the sender sent me this message…

“Tau takper”, my heart says but I don’t bother to reply. Why should I anyway? As I said earlier, I can’t be bother by this.

Anyway, this year we were having our annual dinner at the Marina Bay Restaurant and Bar of which one of the best seafood restaurant in Miri. Not to mention the restaurant architecture designs which so far is the one and only with such concepts had really gives you the relaxing mood and atmosphere. What more can I ask when one can await to enjoy the sunset view from the restaurant itself which located near the seaside.

I came early just to watch the sunset at the restaurant corridor. I practically explore the whole restaurant (ground, 1st floor and kitchen area from the glass wall – I’m not ‘sakai’ but being curious) and one can really (I did though) appreciate the environment surrounding you especially when you get to feel and smell the ocean.

Ok enough said on that and I was a bit ‘geram’ on that day too for not able to capture everything I gone through as my ‘baby’ was ‘taken away’ by my man.

*sob sob sob*

So to compensate my disappointment, I joined my colleague, Baby Milo who had earlier ‘charging’ himself at the bar. I dragged along Leslie with me and I drank Vodka Lime and it taste so bloody refreshing. I get tipsy within less than half an hour due to empty stomach and please try it if you are willing to handle the consequences. ;p

As this year is a cocktail style dinner seating, I choose to enjoy my salad (which was personally served by the restaurant general manager) with bunch of crazy friends at the bar. I then proceed with the main courses and the food does meet my expectation especially the mussels. Overall, I give 3 stars out of 5 stars.

Without realizing that time is short, that night I received my 5 years of long service award. If you ask me whether I’ll be here for another 5 years, only time will tell.

With couple rounds of cocktails on that night, things getting better and there’s nothing like it when you are having fun with the right accompany of crazy friends surrounds you.
